*UPDATED 04/22/2025

ATTN: Due to technical difficulties, any comments submitted to DEQ between April 9th, 2025 and April 11th, 2025, pertaining to the City of Enterprise's Biosolids Management Plan, need to be resubmitted.

The City of Enterprise, Oregon, has applied to the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) through submission of a Biosolids Management Plan (BMP) for land application of biosolids on properties zoned Exclusive Farm Use east of the Enterprise Municipal Airport and north of the City on Golf Course Road. Biosolids are a byproduct of domestic wastewater treatment that contain valuable nutrients and can be used in place of chemical fertilizer. Reuse of biosolids is regulated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the DEQ to protect public health and the environment, and the DEQ will inspect each proposed property and approve it prior to biosolids application. The City’s BMP has been posted on the DEQ’s Public Notices website at the website address below. The public notice ends and comments are due May 8, 2025. https://www.oregon.gov/deq/Get-Involved/Pages/Public-Notices.aspx
